Mojo's & Jelly Rolls
Mojo's & Jelly Rolls is probably the longest running blues show on community radio, if not the whole of Australia. You'll hear blues and roots music with an big emphasis on Australian artists, as well as music that has been influenced by the blues.
The show was started by Lei Parker in 1985, who was joined by Peter Phelps up until around 1998 when Peter took over by himself. In what was a heartfelt loss to the station, Peter passed away in 2003, and in memory of a wonderful person Tony Jaggers made the decision to return to radio to keep Mojo's going in memory of Peter.
Tony is a singer and guitarist, and joined Eurobodalla Radio in 1989 as a newsreader! Within 6 months he was manager, breakfast announcer and a general dogsbody. After over 10 years at the station he left in 2000 due to health issues, and as a parting gift was instrumental in the upgrade and installation of the new Studio A console. Alongside hosting the show, Tony exhibits as a successful woodturner, and is a keen reviewer and photographer of music events right around NSW. He supplies artists with websites and photos of them in action, and has recently returned to live performance.
And who ever said life ends at 50?!
